
Jack Johnson’s laid-back surfer-rock rides into Tampa at 7 p.m. on Wed., Aug. 25 at the 1-800-ASK-GARY Amphitheatre. The “To The Sea Tour 2010” includes G.Love (performing without any Special Sauce) and Johnson’s label-mates ALO (aka Animal Liberation Orchestra).
Giving back is a fundamental tenet of Johnson’s life and touring philosophy, and for the second year in a row he will donate 100% of his tour profits to charity. Additionally, Johnson is utilizing his “All At Once” social action network to connect with local non-profit groups. The Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation will offer direct and matching donations to All At Once partner non-profits, which at the Tampa stop include Sweetwater Organic Community Farm, Green Florida, Ocean Conservancy, Surfrider Foundation – Suncoast Chapter, Slow Food USA – Tampa Bay Chapter, Tampa Bay Watch and the Gulf Restoration Network.
